It is hard to believe that I will be with the Food Innovation Center at Rutgers for 18 years this February (2020). Over the years I have lead various positions, but all in the area of innovation/early new product development, marketing, marketing research and sales strategy. I currently lead a very talented team handling Marketing, our Partnership program and a very exciting new initiative, the Rutgers Global Food Accelerator.
My educational and professional background has always been focused on Food. I am a proud alumni of Rutgers University, Douglass College, where I majored in Human Foods and Nutrition. I received a Master’s Degree at New York University in Food and Business. My early stage career focused on supporting food brands, now part of the Unilever portfolio, as well as food editorial, where I developed content to entertain and excite the palates of readers at Redbook and Ladies’ Home Journal Magazines. Prior to moving on to the Food Innovation Center I spent 15 years at Campbell Soup Company working across a multitude of categories, from Food Service, to Meal Enhancement, to Beverages, to Bakery, even working on premium chocolate, while Campbell’s propelled the Godiva Brand. Throughout my career, my biggest contribution has always been my ability to overlay of my culinary knowledge with relevant consumer insights, creating products that delight consumer needs and wants.
