Food Safety Program Participants,
FSMA Traceability: Your input is needed for the proposed new traceability rule under FSMA. This new rule will impact most wholesale fruit and vegetable growers in New Jersey and some retail growers. There is a 120-day open comment period so make sure your voice is heard! The FDA has scheduled three, day-long virtual meetings on this rule. For more information and links to register for each meeting, click here. The first meeting is scheduled for November 6, 2020.
Please see attached file for what is in the proposed rule and more details on how to comment.
FSMA Virtual Training Course: There are only 18 spots left for the next FSMA PSR Training Course. It is being held virtually on January 12 and 13th, 2021-both days are required to receive your certificate. The deadline to register is 12/31/20 but we expect the class to fill prior to that date. For more information or to sign up please visit rutgersonfarmfoodsafety.eventbrite.com. This course satisfies the FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirement.
